KEYS To A Washington VICTORY Over WSU In The Apple Cup

Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies are gearing up for a high-stakes Apple Cup to open the 2026 college football season, as the Huskies are looking to Kodi Greene, Champ Taulealea, and Kolt Dieterich to add to a high-end offensive line alongside John Mills and Drew Azzopardi. Can the unit set a physical tone and help quarterback Demond Williams Jr. ignite the offense against a talented Washington State defensive front? Locked On Huskies host Roman Tomashoff highlights the battle for running back snaps, with Quaid Carr leading a committee, with eyes on transfer portal acquisition Christian Moss to emerge as a breakout receiver.

On defense, the Huskies are looking to continue their dominance behind linebackers like Buddah Al-Uqdah, Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, and Jacob Manu. Defensive coordinator Ryan Walters faces the challenge of containing Caden Pinnick’s mobility in head coach Kirby Moore's debut, while five-star recruits Antijuan Wilkes, DeAndre Bidden, Tahj Gray, and Jalanie George look on.

This episode sets the stage for a defining rivalry showdown and recruiting surge on Montlake.
