Chris Lawson, Quaid Carr Among Washington's BRIGHTEST RISING STARS

The Washington Huskies have plenty of promising talent to lean on in 2026 as wide receiver Chris Lawson and running back Quade Carr emerge as 2026’s biggest breakout candidates. Can Lawson’s versatility and Carr’s rapidly improving run game make the difference for a revamped offense? Locked On Huskies host Roman Tomashoff spotlights the wide receiver corps shakeup, Champ Taulealea's growth on the offensive line, and the rising potential of Justice Williams out wide.

On defense, the Huskies’ quest for national elite status hinges on Zaydrius Rainey-Sale's speed at linebacker, Darin Conley’s ability to generate pass rush from defensive tackle, and Paul Mencke Jr.'s growth in the secondary. With bold predictions highlighted by Freshman All-Americans like Kodi Greene and Ramzak Fruean, Tomashoff breaks down how Jedd Fisch’s squad aims to produce turnovers and explosive plays in a loaded Big Ten.
