REACTION: Washington Gets UGLY 16-14 Win Over Utah State

The Washington Huskies edged Utah State in a 16-14 nail-biter as offensive struggles continue to overshadow a resilient defense for Jedd Fisch's team. Can the Huskies spark life into the sluggish run game behind Brian Bonner and Ansu Sanoe and figure out an inconsistent offensive line behind John Mills, Drew Azzopardi, and Kodi Greene before Big Ten play ramps up?

Locked On Huskies host Roman Tomashoff and Last Word On College Sports' Nick Lemkau break down Washington's narrow win, spotlighting Demond Williams Jr.'s day, critical drops by Trey Cooley and Dezmen Roebuck, and the impact of young receivers Jordan Clay and Trez Davis stepping up amid injuries. Defensive standouts like Alex McLaughlin, Jacob Manu, Derek Colman-Brusa, and Ramzak Fruean shine, but discipline issues surrounding penalties raise big questions moving forward. Key metrics, missed opportunities, and the readiness of Washington’s true freshmen set the stage for a must-improve matchup against Eastern Washington.

Can the Huskies’ offense keep pace with their shutdown defense, or is panic beginning to set in?
