Freshman OLB Ramzak Fruean To START Against Washington State

Jedd Fisch, Ryan Walters, and the Washington Huskies are shaking up their defensive front as freshman Ramzak Fruean claims a starting spot, raising expectations for a revitalized pass rush in the Big Ten in 2026. Can this young unit lead the Huskies to one of college football's best defenses? Locked On Huskies host Roman Tomashoff and Last Word On College Sports' Nick Lemkau break down the impact of Fruean’s emergence, the depth at edge rusher with Russell Davis II and Jacob Lane, and how Fisch’s rotation could address last season’s sack struggles.

On offense, Demond Williams looks poised at quarterback, with tight ends Baron Naone and Decker DeGraaf emerging as key playmakers. The duo analyzes the running back committee led by Quaid Carr, the receiver room’s talent and depth with Chris Lawson and Justice Williams, and how punter Hunter Green can revitalize Chris Petrilli's special teams unit. Is this well-rounded Washington Huskies roster built for a College Football Playoff run?

Find out as the show spotlights key position battles and everything from Washington's mock game.
