Washington's Defense DOMINATES First Fall Scrimmage

The Washington Huskies’ defense dominates the first fall scrimmage, sparking big questions about just how good this unit can be in the Big Ten under Jedd Fisch and Ryan Walters in the 2026 college football season. Locked On Huskies host Roman Tomashoff and Last Word on College Sports' Nick Lemkau evaluate standout performances by edge rushers Ramzak Fruean and Russell Davis, plus game-changing plays from Alex McLaughlin and true freshman Gavin Day.

The hosts highlight the depth and versatility across Washington’s defense, with breakout moments from JD Hill and Ezaya Tokio hinting at a bright future for the linebacker corps. On offense, tight end Baron Naone and wide receiver Chris Lawson turn heads, while the running back rotation, featuring Quaid Carr, Jayden Limar, and Brian Bonner, remains up for grabs. Special teams improvement is on the radar too, as Hunter Green impresses at punter.

Is this Huskies squad primed to contend for the College Football Playoff on both sides of the ball?
