STUNNER: North Carolina Tar Heels HIRE Michael Malone to Lead Program REBIRTH! | Season Preview

North Carolina Tar Heels shake up the ACC by firing Hubert Davis and hiring NBA champion Michael Malone—can he restore UNC’s blue-blood dominance without Tar Heel pedigree? The coaching carousel, roster overhaul, and a formidable new backcourt led by Matt Able, Neo Avdalas, and Terrence Brown set the stage for a high-stakes debut season in Chapel Hill.

Isaac Schade and Andy Patton break down the Tar Heels’ retooled lineup, frontcourt uncertainties around Jarin Stevenson and Sayon Keita, and how Michael Malone’s NBA tactics might spark new energy in college basketball. Key topics include UNC’s challenging non-conference schedule, X-factors for postseason success, and bold predictions for their place in a fiercely competitive ACC race. Can North Carolina’s chemistry come together fast enough to make a Sweet 16 run?
