Ole Miss Ran For 63 Yards And PUNISHED LSU | Florida Is Next And That's A Problem

Every Ole Miss reaction show today is leading with the celebration. That's the wrong number. Ole Miss beat LSU 32-24 with 426 total yards — and 363 of them came through the air, which means the Rebels ran for 63 yards in a game they won. Trinidad Chambliss threw it 48 times in a one-score game. Kewan Lacy had nine carries before his shoulder sent him out. Ole Miss goes to Florida on Saturday as a 2.5-point underdog, and that rushing number is the reason why.

Saturday, 3:30 ET, Ole Miss at Florida. The Rebels are 3-0, 1-0 in the SEC, and getting points on the road.

Steven Willis grades his own overreaction from Saturday night against the actual box score — what held, what he is retracting until he can source it — then turns the whole thing toward Gainesville and the 13-point gap between where the public's tickets are and where the money is.

📌 THREE THINGS

1. Ole Miss ran for 63 yards and won a top-ten game. 426 total, 363 passing — do the subtraction. Lacy had 43 of it on nine carries before the shoulder, and Chambliss's 14-yard touchdown run is inside the rest. There is a real explanation, but 48 pass attempts in a one-score game is a response, not a plan, and Florida is next.

2. The "best player in America" take survives contact with the box score: 33-of-48, 363 yards, two passing touchdowns and the keeper that won it, against a top-ten defense on national television. The red zone number from Saturday night does not survive, because it still is not sourced — so it is off this show until it is.

3. Two names travel now that did not a week ago. Traylon Ray went for 115 and a touchdown after asking to move back to receiver instead of hitting the portal. JT Lindsey took the two-point conversion from inside the one with four safer calls available. Neither is an emergency option in Gainesville anymore.
