In this episode, we sit down with Oklahoma hunter Owen Bellis to hear the unbelievable story behind one of the most unique whitetails he’s ever laid eyes on — a 140-inch dwarf buck that barely stood knee-high. Dwarf whitetails are already considered extremely uncommon, with estimates suggesting they make up less than 1% of the whitetail population due to a rare recessive genetic trait. Owen had no idea the buck was a dwarf when he first got him on camera, and when he finally walked up on the deer after the shot, the reality of what he’d taken left him completely stunned. We break down the entire hunt, the emotions behind it, and why this deer is the kind of trophy most hunters will never encounter in a lifetime.
