$107.4 million across all households in Palm Beach County equals just over $172 per year. That's how much money you've been paying in taxes each year to facilitate the education of illegal aliens. And this is also where this issue meets property taxes. Based upon where you live, approximately half of the property taxes you pay go to pay for the schools. The top two taxing authorities in almost all jurisdictions are school taxes to the state and school taxes to the school district. That's where most of the money to pay for the 'free' education has been coming from. And here's the thing. The irony is that Matt Lincoln & other GSS Newsers are advocating for children and for compassion. The irony is it's the antithesis. The compassionate position for illegal aliens isn't advocating to make it a bit more comfortable to break the law through light enforcement of it...and to have their children grow up without legitimate status. The compassionate thing is to encourage emigrating into the country legally. Every person, every family who has been in this country illegally has been offered an opportunity to be flown back to their legal home with $1,000 and the ability to begin the legal immigration process. That's what compassion is. ICE activity is what happens when you're here illegally, and you chose to refuse the compassionate offer to comply with the law. There are two sides to stories and one side to facts. You get those here. Apparently not so much with whatever Lincoln is thinkin'...
