Mass shooting in Seattle kills three, injures toddler

Deadly attacks in Seattle and Berlin raise one of faith’s hardest questions: If God intervened to protect innocent people in Scripture, why does he not always do so now? When suffering challenges our confidence in his goodness, trusting him can feel like a leap into the dark. Yet the distinction between blind faith and rational faith offers another way to understand that choice. Today, we consider whether the evidence of God’s character—especially the cross—can sustain our trust when his actions remain beyond our understanding.
