The Curse of Masakado | Case File 334

Ah, welcome once more, my eerie enthusiasts, to another Spooktober tale steeped in ancient anger and vengeful spirits from the far-off lands of the rising sun. Tonight, we delve into the chilling lore of a citywide curse, a saga of samurai rebellion and eternal unrest that refuses to fade into the mists of history.

In the heart of Tokyo, lies a grave, a simmering spot of spectral spite, the resting place of the decapitated head of a warrior whose defiance of the imperial court has left a centuries-old curse festering in the modern metropolis. Legend whispers that those who dare to disturb his slumber, or worse, attempt to move his shrine, invite calamitous misfortune—a promise kept with eerie precision over the centuries.

Join the Fearists, your ghoulish guides, as we tread carefully around the cursed contours of this story, for even speaking the vengeful deity’s name could invoke the wrath of his restless spirit. Will you brave the curse with me, or does fear already clutch your trembling heart?
