BREAKOUT: Alabama Names Keelon Russell Starting QB—Is Bama’s Offense About to EXPLODE in 2026?

The Alabama Crimson Tide name Keelon Russell as their starting quarterback heading into 2026, igniting excitement for a potential return to national championship contention. Can Russell’s elite athleticism and playmaking propel Alabama’s explosive offense, or will growing pains define the 2026 campaign?

Chris Gordy breaks down Russell’s ascent over Austin Mack, position battles along the offensive line, and the dynamic weapons surrounding Russell, including Ryan Coleman-Williams and C.D. Morgan. Key topics include Kalen DeBoer’s quarterback decision strategy, running back committee questions, and defensive stalwarts like Caleb Woodson. The episode previews Alabama’s challenging SEC schedule—highlighting critical matchups against Georgia, LSU, and Auburn—and debates whether the Tide’s postseason ambitions are realistic with a first-year starter under center.
