BAD TO WORSE: Texas Loses 5⭐ WR Easton Royal the Day After Losing to Oklahoma | Texas Football

Texas Longhorns suffer a recruiting stunner as five-star wide receiver Easton Royal flips to the Florida Gators just days after a heartbreaking loss to Oklahoma. Is Steve Sarkisian’s reputation as an elite developer of wide receiver talent fading as Texas struggles offensively despite landing top-tier prospects like Cam Coleman, Ryan Wingo, and Jermaine Bishop?

Brad Kellner dissects the fallout from Royal’s decision, questioning whether Texas’ inability to maximize its blue-chip receivers is becoming a major concern for recruits. Key topics include the Longhorns’ offensive woes, roster depth at wideout, and the potential impact on future recruiting classes. Can Texas rebound, revamp its passing attack, and keep elite talent committed, or does the program risk repeating past struggles from the post-Mack Brown era? Texas’ rematch with Florida looms large, raising the stakes for Sarkisian and Longhorn Nation’s quest for on-field and recruiting redemption.
