19 septembre 1991, deux alpinistes viennent de découvrir un corps dépassant de la glace dans les Alpes de l'Ötztal. D’abord pris pour celui d’un alpiniste malchanceux, le corps s’avère être celui d’un homme mort il y a 5 300 ans. Mais qui était cet homme et comment est-il mort ?
