BOLD PREDICTION: The Washington Nationals Will TRADE Star SS CJ Abrams This Offseason

Washington Nationals poised for a seismic shift—will star shortstop CJ Abrams be traded this offseason? Ryan Clary breaks down the Nationals’ complex decision, spotlighting Abrams’ offensive explosion, defensive limitations, and sky-high trade value. With the Lerner ownership’s reluctance to spend, is it smarter to cash in on Abrams now or risk losing him for nothing in free agency? Key discussion points include Seaver King and Eli Willits as potential cornerstone replacements, the impact of a blockbuster Abrams deal on Washington’s future, and the Phillies’ dramatic collapse as Bryce Harper’s championship window slams shut. Can the Nationals reshape their lineup, outmaneuver aging NL East rivals, and stake their claim in 2027? Ryan Clary explores trade packages, farm system standouts, and the Nationals’ path forward in a rapidly changing MLB landscape.
