Today’s expression: 다행이다

Have you ever worried that something might go wrong, but then everything turned out okay? In Korean, we often say “다행이다 (dahaeng-ida) ” in situations like this. It can mean “I’m glad,” “What a relief,” or “Thank goodness.”

We also use ‘다행이다‘ when reacting to someone else’s good news, especially when they were worried about something. In this episode, we’ll look at how Koreans naturally use this expression in everyday conversations and how it’s different from 잘됐다.
