S1E2: The First Shloka | रामायण का पहला श्लोक

In this episode of Ramayan – The Eternal Journey, we discover how a moment of grief gave rise to the first shloka.

After hearing the story of Rama from Narada, sage Valmiki journeys to the banks of the Tamasa River with his disciple Bharadvaja. There, the death of one of a pair of krauncha birds moves him deeply—and his grief takes the form of a measured verse.

Then Brahma appears and gives Valmiki a profound task: to compose the story of Rama.

यह वह क्षण है जहाँ शोक से श्लोक जन्म लेता है, और राम की कथा रामायण के काव्य-रूप की ओर बढ़ती है।

Based on Valmiki Ramayana, Balakanda, Sarga 2.
