The Fear Of The Lord | Episode 11 | Holiness

What happens when sinful humanity encounters a God who is perfectly holy, pure, and described in Scripture as a consuming fire? Who can stand before such awesome holiness? God’s holiness is not merely a theological concept, but a reality that demands reverence. In Episode 11 of "The Fear of the Lord," Duane Sheriff teaches that we can only stand in God’s presence by grace through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ.

For those who accept God’s mercy, this same consuming fire becomes refreshing rather than tormenting. The Bible’s imagery of the three Hebrew children thrown into the fiery furnace illustrates how God’s fire burns away bondage while preserving those who trust in Him.

This message also addresses sobering biblical truths about judgment, hell, salvation, and the wrath from which Jesus came to save us. Hell was never created for humanity, but God lovingly made a way through Christ so that no one would perish. Through repentance and faith in Jesus, we can receive eternal life and stand confidently in God’s presence. Deepen your understanding of God’s holiness, grace, and the transforming power of the Gospel.
