Essentials in Leadership | Episode 8 | Fear God

What happens when we lose the fear of God and begin letting culture, emotions, and human opinions shape our decisions instead of God's Word? In Episode 8 of "Essentials in Leadership," Duane Sheriff teaches why the fear of the Lord is one of the most essential foundations for effective leadership and spiritual growth. The fear of God is not a tormenting fear rooted in anxiety, rejection, or punishment. It is a healthy, reverential awe that produces wisdom, righteous judgment, peace, and unwavering loyalty to God.

Drawing from Hebrews, Proverbs, Isaiah, and 2 Peter, Duane explains how the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. Jesus Himself operated in the fear of the Lord, which enabled Him to render righteous judgments and remain faithful to the Father. When believers fear God, His Word becomes the final authority above culture, human reasoning, and personal feelings. This episode reveals how fearing God delivers us from the fear of man, strengthens our faith, and equips us to become effective leaders in every area of our lives.
