◈ Elias La Fuente. 'Aperitivo.' This is the track that starts the night before the night starts.
Opens with a funk burst. Cocky. Then the bassline drops in, Motown-greased, sliding around the low end like it owns the room. The 2-step shuffle enters on cue. Ghost rimshots, sub-bass locked in tight. Tabla weaving through the polyrhythm, keeping it off-balance in the best possible way. Baile funk stabs land sideways. A distant moan drifts through the groove like smoke.

The tech house framework holds it all together, but the soul is pure MJ Cole-era UKG. Crisp syncopated drums, Rhodes shimmer up top, warm organ sitting underneath. The salsa DNA surfaces in the rhythm guitar stabs and the bass slides. Around 128 BPM, but it never feels mechanical. Footwork-juke tension in the middle register keeps the whole thing restless.
This is the sound when the signal crosses borders. UK garage meeting the Caribbean, Chicago meeting South London. UXRZONE frequency. Elias La Fuente on the dial.
