◈ Elias La Fuente opens the transmission with a burst of pure funk. Brass-bright, cocky, the bassline struts in like it owns the room. Rhodes shimmer over the top. Organ stabs land just off the beat. Salsa bones inside a UK garage body.

The 2-step shuffle locks in around 128 BPM and doesn't let go. Ghost rimshots, syncopated UKG drums, sub-bass that sits low and clean. Tabla weaves through the polyrhythm. The groove pulls from MJ Cole-era micro-garage and somewhere closer to the Chicago footwork grid at the same time. That tension is the whole thing.

By the chorus the signal opens wide. Analog warmth floods the frequency. The Rhodes runs get longer, the bass slides deeper. Hypnotic and soulful. Warm like late afternoon concrete. Euphoric without begging for it.
Elias La Fuente. 'Que Fresco Calor.' On rotation now.
