In Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam Canto 1, Chapter 9, we witness the extraordinary final moments of Bhīṣmadeva as he lies on the bed of arrows at Kurukṣetra.

Bhīṣmadeva instructs Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira about dharma, duty, the influence of time, and the inconceivable plan of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. As his final moment approaches, Bhīṣma withdraws his consciousness from everything else and fixes his mind, vision, and heart completely upon Kṛṣṇa.

This chapter leaves us with a profound question: If our final remembrance is shaped by what we practice throughout life, what are we training our minds to remember today?

श्रीमद्भागवतम् प्रथम स्कन्ध अध्याय 9 में हम पितामह भीष्म के जीवन के अंतिम और अत्यन्त दिव्य क्षणों का श्रवण करेंगे। बाणों की शय्या पर स्थित भीष्मदेव महाराज युधिष्ठिर को धर्म, कर्तव्य, काल और भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की अचिन्त्य योजना का ज्ञान देते हैं।

अपने अंतिम समय में भीष्मदेव संसार की सभी स्मृतियों से मन हटाकर केवल श्रीकृष्ण के दिव्य स्वरूप और कुरुक्षेत्र की उनकी लीलाओं का स्मरण करते हैं।

यह अध्याय हमें एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न की ओर ले जाता है—यदि मृत्यु के समय हमारा अंतिम स्मरण हमारे पूरे जीवन के अभ्यास से बनता है, तो आज हमारी चेतना किस दिशा में जा रही है?
