YAHHO! First Japanese with Kimi
YAHHO! First Japanese with Kimi · 2026年7月28日 · 5:29
Today, let’s learn one of the most useful Japanese grammar patterns:
〜te imasu (ています)
Many learners think 〜te imasu is only used like English “-ing.”
Sometimes that’s true…
But Japanese also uses 〜te imasu to talk about:
You’ll also learn 〜te imashita (ていました) to talk about past situations.
This episode is designed to help you understand when Japanese people naturally use ています, without worrying too much about grammar rules.
In the next episode, we’ll practice these sentences together!
