China’s humanoid robot makers are stepping up efforts to establish a presence in South Korea, moving beyond exhibitions and demonstrations toward practical applications in factories and businesses.

According to the South China Morning Post and The Korea Times, companies including UBTech Robotics, AgiBot, Unitree Robotics and Anyverse Dynamics are exploring opportunities in South Korea as the country accelerates its investment in physical AI — artificial intelligence that allows machines to perceive, interact with and operate in the physical world.

South Korea’s advanced manufacturing industry makes it an attractive market for robotics companies seeking real-world testing opportunities and commercial customers.
