In September 1998, 33-year-old mother of seven Patricia Lashley disappeared from Dudley, England. For nearly 28 years, police considered the possibility that Patricia, also known as Pat or Jade, had simply left the area and started another life. Then, in 2026, everything changed.
When a police officer visited her former partner Trevor Dunkley, he suddenly confessed: he had killed Patricia inside their Hall Street home, hidden her body in the cellar and later disposed of her remains in household rubbish. Patricia's body has never been recovered. On September 11, 2026, Dunkley pleaded guilty to murder and preventing a lawful burial. His confession finally answered the central question surrounding Patricia's disappearance, but created another haunting reality: for almost three decades, her family had been searching for someone who had never truly been missing.
