Père Antoine Assaf is a Maronite priest of the Archdiocese of Beirut, serving at St. Elie Church in Kantari. He previously taught theology at several universities and continues to share his deep love for the faith through his pastoral ministry and teaching.

Waiting is never easy. And yet, waiting can be beautiful—it deepens our longing and helps us recognize the value of what is to come.

But the deeper question remains: What are we waiting for? And who are we waiting for?

And perhaps even more confronting: are we truly waiting for the Lord—or is it the Lord who is waiting for us?
