Called at 17, Sent at 30 — Building Faith That Stands | Timothy Allen — Conversations with Sekani

Timothy Allen is a pastor, prison chaplain of more than 20 years, author of Before the Fall, and the founder of the Romans 10:9 Bible study app. After beginning his career in engineering and the corporate world, Timothy answered a calling into ministry where he has spent decades helping people build a faith that is authentic, resilient, and grounded in Scripture.

In this grounded and encouraging conversation, Timothy shares:

What his exciting university years in his 20s looked like
Getting laid off as one of the few Christians at his company
Learning that feelings don’t always reflect reality with God
Why faith must be grounded in God’s Word, not emotions
Being called to preach at 17 but not sent until age 30
Discovering his message resonates with those who’ve been in trouble
The difference between head knowledge and heart conviction
Patterns he’s seen in people who grow spiritually vs. those who drift

If you’re in your 20s building (or questioning) your faith, navigating challenges, or wondering about timing and calling, this episode offers clear, scripture-based wisdom.
