Somatic Reset — Day 7: Practice Safety in Your Body (1‑Minute Breath Reset)

Safety isn't something that only happens to you; it's something you can practice creating, even in small, ordinary moments like this one. You don't need a perfect morning or a peaceful world to feel it. You can feel safe in your body for the length of one breath, one hand on your chest, one honest sigh and then again, and then again, until it starts to feel less like an accident and more like something you know how to do. Today's practice: take a breath in and give yourself gratitude for taking a little time to connect, to feel, and to tell yourself you are, in fact, safe in this moment. Hold, then exhale, connecting to the relief that knowledge brings. Do it once more; this time, as you inhale, you can even say the words "I am safe" to yourself. Hold, then exhale, connecting to that relief again. That's the whole practice — not arriving somewhere permanent, but returning, again and again, to this: your body, this moment, you, safe enough to be here. This is Day 7; the final day of our Come Back to Your Body series. Thank you for practicing with your body all week long.
