Fort Laramie presents “Boredom,” episode 5 of the CBS frontier drama, originally broadcast on February 19, 1956. Raymond Burr stars as Captain Lee Quince in this episode written by John Meston and directed by Norman Macdonnell.
After months of road building and mud-brick work, the men at Fort Laramie are restless with garrison routine. Quince leads 15 troopers on a buffalo hunt to ease the strain, but the trip into the surrounding plains brings the command into a dangerous encounter with Cheyenne.
Fort Laramie presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
