Fort Laramie presents “The Woman at Horse Creek,” episode 4, originally broadcast on CBS on February 12, 1956. Written by Kathleen Hite and produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, it stars Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince and Vic Perrin as Sergeant Goerss.
On patrol near Horse Creek, Quince and his troopers encounter Mrs. Dennis, a frontier widow determined to remain alone in the wilderness. As the soldiers consider how they might help, Private Flint is given an important assignment. Virginia Christine appears as Mrs. Dennis, with John Dehner as Flint.
Fort Laramie presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
