Fort Laramie presents “Spotted Tails Return,” episode 26 of the CBS radio drama, originally broadcast July 22, 1956. Raymond Burr stars as Captain Lee Quince, with John Dehner as Spotted Tail; the episode was written by Kathleen Hite and produced by Norman Macdonnell.
When Spotted Tail leaves the Black Hills on an unexplained mission, Captain Quince is sent to learn his purpose. With tensions mounting around the reservation and the possibility of conflict in the air, Quince’s pursuit becomes a careful effort to keep a dangerous situation from widening into war.
Fort Laramie presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
