Box 13 presents “Hare and Hounds,” originally broadcast February 27, 1949. This is episode 28 of the classic mystery series, starring Alan Ladd as Dan Holiday.
After an older stranger takes an out-of-town letter from the Box 13 mail, Dan follows the trail it leaves behind—only to find himself caught in a dangerous case and wanted by the police. Russell Hughes wrote the original story, with Richard Sanville directing; Sylvia Picker co-stars as Suzy.
Box 13 presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
