This decodable children's book tells the story of a young girl named Meg who maintains a farm in Crown County. After a successful season of planting seeds, Meg discovers an uninvited groundhog devouring the vegetables in her garden. She enlists the help of her animal companions, a pony named Cloudy and a cow named Browny, to protect her harvest. While the girl's own shouting and clapping fail to intimidate the intruder, the noises made by her pets successfully scare the creature away.
