The Quicksilva Show presents #WhoIs DJ Kool

This week on #WhoIs Podcast with DJ Quicksilva, we sit down with a certified architect of party culture — the legendary DJ Kool. This isn’t just an interview. It’s a masterclass. From shutting down clubs in DC to creating records that still move arenas worldwide, DJ Kool breaks down the foundation of go-go energy, mic control, crowd command, and how he built records that outlived trends. We talk about the making of the timeless anthem Let Me Clear My Throat, what it really means to move a crowd, and how authenticity travels further than hype ever could. He speaks on longevity in a microwave era, the difference between DJs and entertainers, and why understanding the room is still the ultimate superpower.
