Suspense presents “The Kettler Method,” episode 12, originally broadcast on CBS on September 16, 1942. This early installment was written by Peter Barry, directed by John Dietz, and features Roger DeKoven as Dr. Kettler, with Gloria Stuart and John Gibson as Claire and Leslie Winton.
Days of heavy rain have cut off Dr. Morrissey’s remote sanitarium near Culsten/Culston, where a once-renowned brain surgeon has become a patient. When the Wintons arrive amid the storm, Dr. Kettler’s consuming attachment to a past operation and the technique that bears his name turns the isolated institution into a place of mounting danger.
The 50 Greatest Old Time Radio Shows presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
