Lux Radio Theatre presents “Tom Dick and Harry,” episode 316, originally broadcast September 8, 1941. This CBS, Lux-sponsored season opener adapts the 1941 RKO Radio Pictures romantic comedy and is hosted by Cecil B. DeMille.
Ginger Rogers stars as Janie, a telephone operator weighing the attentions of three sharply different suitors: an ambitious automobile salesman, a wealthy young man, and an unconventional garage mechanic. George Murphy, Alan Marshal, and Burgess Meredith reprise their film roles in this lighthearted comedy of romance, security, and ambition.
The 50 Greatest Old Time Radio Shows presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
