Fibber McGee and Molly presents “Daredevil Dave Subs for Fibber,” originally broadcast on January 10, 1955. This archival installment is episode 1072 of the NBC comedy series, starring Jim and Marian Jordan as Fibber and Molly McGee.
It is the day of Fibber’s much-anticipated balloon flight, the culmination of his advertising scheme. As launch time nears, the McGees encounter the comic complications surrounding the planned ascent and its substitute daredevil. The 15-minute-era broadcast was sponsored by Prudential Insurance and Dial Soap.
Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
