Fibber McGee and Molly presents “Business Is Dull,” originally broadcast on NBC on March 11, 1954. This archival episode is numbered 854 and stars Jim Jordan as Fibber McGee, Marian Jordan as Molly, and Bill Thompson as the Old Timer.
Still working at Quilby’s Variety Store, Fibber finds business painfully slow and sets out to improve sales with an energetic, decidedly forceful approach to customer service. The compact shop-set comedy finds Fibber’s enthusiasm meeting resistance from the Old Timer.
Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
