Fibber McGee and Molly presents “Liars Award,” originally broadcast November 21, 1955. This local archival recording is identified as episode 1231 of the classic NBC Radio Network comedy series, starring Jim Jordan as Fibber and Marian Jordan as Molly.
Fibber’s celebrated talent for stretching the truth puts him at the center of a “Liar’s Award” premise, giving the McGees plenty of room for their familiar domestic-comedy banter. This 15-minute late-run episode was written by Phil Leslie and Ralph Goodman and directed by Max Hutto.
Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
