Yours Truly Johnny Dollar presents “The Touch of Midas Matter, Part 5,” originally broadcast on CBS on July 6, 1956. In the concluding installment of this five-part serial, Bob Bailey stars as insurance investigator Johnny Dollar. Written, directed, and produced by Jack Johnstone.
Dollar remains in Kingman, Arizona, investigating a major claim after a deadly cave-in at the Midas Touch gold mine. With three insured brothers dead and questions surrounding the mine’s promoter, its rich ore, and the supposed accident, Johnny follows the evidence through the desert country near Lake Mohave.
Yours Truly Johnny Dollar presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
