CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents “The Smell of Murder” (also listed as “The Sweet Smell of Murder”), originally broadcast June 25, 1980, as episode 1097. Written by Sam Dann, the drama stars Bryna Raeburn, Robert Dryden, Evie Juster, and Joe Silver.
A charter-boat captain is discovered with the proceeds of a bank robbery, and the evidence seems overwhelmingly damning. Certain he has been framed, his wife teams with a police investigator to learn how the stolen money found its way to him.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
