CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents “The Ghost of Andersonville,” originally broadcast April 28, 1982, as episode 1321. Written by James Agate, Jr. and directed by Himan Brown, this Civil War-era drama stars Tony Roberts and Robert Kaliban.
After his release from the Confederate prison camp at Andersonville, Major Cal Russell returns North carrying a deep grievance from the war. An uneasy meeting with Union General Lysander Cutler draws him into a dangerous official inquiry and back toward the shadows of his captivity.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
