CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents “The Innocent Murderer,” originally broadcast July 14, 1982, as episode 1351. Written by James Agate Jr., this historical suspense drama stars Tony Roberts, Robert Dryden, Robert Kaliban, and Gordon Gould.
In the shadow of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, John Surratt flees prosecution, escaping through Canada and toward Liverpool, England. His dangerous journey unfolds as a tense fugitive story shaped by suspicion, international travel, and the lingering reach of the Lincoln conspiracy.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
