Welcome back to the Ultimate Football Heroes Podcast. We hope you had an amazing Christmas. Issy is here celebrating her birthday week, and George has survived the festive football marathon.
This episode is filled with Christmas fun, football chatter, and your brilliant voice notes.
Santa’s Football Gifts Last time we shared football managers’ letters to Santa. This week, George reveals what presents Santa actually delivered to some of the biggest football stars. From Pickford’s new sun cap to Haaland’s emergency comb supply, it gets very festive.
Predictions Recap Issy went for a 2–2 draw. George predicted a 3–2 goal fest. But Chelsea v Aston Villa finished 2–1 to Villa, meaning no one picks up points this round. The leaderboard stays at George 7, Issy 4. Still plenty of time left in the season.
Listener Voice Note This week we hear from Harry, a huge Crystal Palace fan. Issy and George talk Palace Christmas merch, fan traditions, and why football feels extra special in December. Thank you Harry for getting in touch.
The Toughest Quiz Yet This week’s challenge is all about international top goal scorers. England, Brazil, Germany, men’s and women’s teams. Six big questions. Six big clues. Did you get full marks? After the break, Issy and George reveal all the answers and crown this week’s quiz champions.
Predictions for Next Week With no WSL fixtures this weekend, our focus is on Bournemouth v Arsenal. George goes 2–0 Arsenal and Issy predicts 3–1 Arsenal. What do you think? Email your predictions and see if you can beat our scoreboard.
