Gunsmoke presents “The Brothers Different Story Than 52-09-06,” episode 234 of the classic CBS radio series, originally broadcast September 30, 1956. Written by William F. Leicester and produced by Norman Macdonnell, it stars William Conrad as Marshal Matt Dillon, with Parley Baer, Georgia Ellis, and Howard McNear.
In Dodge City, young Texan Trace Gore arrives intent on challenging the feared gunman Lafe Tugwell. Matt Dillon, who knows Tugwell’s past, tries to prevent a dangerous confrontation driven by pride, reputation, and mounting public pressure.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
