Gunsmoke presents “Trojan War Reused Script,” episode 404, originally broadcast on January 3, 1960. This CBS Radio drama stars William Conrad as Marshal Matt Dillon and reuses a Les Crutchfield script first heard in 1953.
When the Pueblo Gang arrives in Dodge City, Dillon has reason to worry despite having no grounds to act. After the Buckeye Stage is robbed and a passenger is wounded, the marshal faces a growing threat to the town and its travelers. Norman Macdonnell directed and produced.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
