The Adventures of Superman presents “The Mystery of the Sleeping Beauty Part-17,” originally broadcast February 6, 1945. In this chapter of the 20-part wartime serial, Bud Collyer stars as Clark Kent/Superman, with Jackie Kelk as Jimmy Olsen.
In the hidden city of Illyria, Clark and Jimmy face mounting danger as Herkemene’s fate rests in the hands of the tyrannical Saki. Originally heard on the Mutual Broadcasting System and sponsored by Kellogg’s Pep, this installment carries the period wartime framing of its 1945 production.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
