Old Time Retro Radio presents The Adventures of Superman, “Metropolis Football Team Poisoned Part-2,” originally broadcast September 3, 1941. This installment is part two of a 15-chapter serial from the Mutual Radio Network, starring Bud Collyer as Clark Kent/Superman and Joan Alexander as Lois Lane.
At Metropolis University, Clark Kent discovers that the football team’s mysterious illness could jeopardize more than the season. An undefeated record may unlock vital Richards estate funding for Professor Nelson’s infantile-paralysis research, giving Clark reason to investigate who might profit from the university’s failure.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
