The Adventures of Superman, “The Dead Voice Part-5,” originally broadcast October 2, 1946, is episode 1068. This installment is part of the 15-chapter Superman-Batman crossover serial, “The Dead Voice,” heard on the Mutual Broadcasting System.
Robin is still missing, and Superman follows the investigation’s strongest lead: Willie, a vanished circus clown with possible ties to the mystery. Bud Collyer stars as Superman/Clark Kent, with Jackson Beck as announcer and Willie. Produced by Robert Maxwell and sponsored by Kellogg’s Pep and Krumbles, this chapter keeps the rescue-and-investigation story moving without bringing the case to a close.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
