“A clever trick can look like magic until you stop, question it and examine the evidence.”

A mysterious fortune-teller has arrived in Snaggleton! Madame Rattles claims she can read minds, uncover secrets and speak to spirits. Fergus, Sir Chucklenugget and Grumblegut are amazed when she appears to know everything about them.

But Wizzlethorp and Sparky are suspicious. In this funny kids story podcast, they notice that Madame Rattles is using clever tricks instead of real magic:

• 🌈 She describes Fergus using two opposite qualities, so her answer cannot be wrong.
• 🔤 She guesses letters until Sir Chucklenugget supplies the name Sir Iron Pants himself.
• 👂 GritSnitcher secretly listens to Grumblegut and passes his information to Madame Rattles.
• 🐉 She confidently reveals the location of a Dragon Egg that Sparky completely invented!

Wizzlethorp and Sparky expose the tricks in front of the whole village, revealing how easy it can be to fool people when they desperately want to believe. Even Madame Rattles’s magnificent crystal ball turns out to be an upside-down fishbowl!

This lively mystery encourages critical thinking, curiosity and careful communication. The Snaggletonians learn to ask questions, look for evidence and remember that nobody truly knows what is happening inside your mind unless you tell them.
